Not a very merry Christmas

We all are sick. What ever this cold is it is terrible.  I never had so much symptoms in one cold.  Fevers, coughing, congestion, pain, eye trouble and they rotate in severity and then you think you are feeling better and wham...you are struck down again.  I am hoping by the New Year I will be better.  We had to cancel some holiday visits because we don't want to spread this around. 

I will keep updates. I plan on resting as much as possible to get better faster.

Wednesday....Christmas Eve

No post yesterday....sick...sicky sick....super sicky sick. Not just my son but me and the grandparents as well.  I did not want to move at all yesterday but had to go to the pharmacy for supplies.  I am a bit better today but exhausted.  We have family in today, off to visit family on Friday and then again on Monday so I won't be posting until Tuesday Dec 30th.

I will have more bathroom pictures then.  I am just out of it right now.  But I do have my last holiday image I did for Zazzle today!  I do not know how I timed it so perfect!

Monday - 3 days to Xmas!

Wow, and I have lots of cookies yet to bake.  Guess what...my back is injured.  I do not know how but it hurts so bad, can't sit, stand or lay down without pain.  I have to help with the school holiday party today so I will grin and bear it.  Guess what else....my son is sick. He had fevers over the weekend.  I am going to check and if okay he will go to school and I will take him home as soon as the party is over, or he will stay home with grandpa while I go in and work on the party.  It rains it pours!  I hope to get one set of cookies done today or tomorrow will be a super baking day.  My son will have tomorrow off and won't be back to school until after the New year.

My math is not so good.

It was 7 days to Christmas yesterday and 6 days left today!  Better get my math straight.
Got the chocolate chip cookies done yesterday.  Going to the school today to volunteer. Lots of stuff going on this weekend, finishing cookies and more things to prepare for the holidays!  Have a great weekend!

8 days to Christmas!

Coming fast, found some presents I didn't wrap yet....that is on the agenda today! Chocolate Chip Cookies tomorrow.  I am at the school on Friday and then more cookies, final wrapping and prepping for another day at the school on Monday.  Now the storm for the weekend has fizzled but they are expecting a wintry mix on Monday...no!  I hope it holds off and we can have our little Holiday party!  I guess tomorrow we will have a clearer picture of what is to come from the weatherman!

We started with a room of just studs.  Had a plumber come in and rough out the drains and water supplies and we took over from there.

Getting stressed?

I know I have time to finish what I need before Christmas but still feel like I am behind!  Think it is because I have items left out for wrapping, decorating and shipping and I like things put away.  Feels unfinished.

Today I am running some errands and more wrapping.  Most everything is wrapped, just some items that are coming in now. I think chocolate chip cookies will be started this week too. 

Raining today, possible snow storm Sunday....I am working on a party for school next Monday.  I hope the weather stays okay so we can give something special for the kids before the holiday break.

Trying to finish stuff today

Hoping to finish decorating, wrapping most of the presents left and then some shopping for final items during the week.  I have cookies to bake, volunteering at the school for a few days and what ever else pops up!  Keeping me busy.  Will be nice to enjoy the holidays once the rush is done.

Zazzle has been doing nicely.  I like seeing that.  Wish it kept up like that all year.  That will be a goal for next year!

I am stuffed...ate too much over the weekend.  I figure that is what January 2nd is for....back to regular eating and getting myself back in shape.  I am not as bad as last year.  Had surgery last year and gained a lot of weight after that.  Lost it once I had recovered.  Just going to enjoy the rest of the year, keep my normal exercise routine and when January hits I will be fine.

Finally Friday.

I have such a headache. I am volunteering in the school this afternoon so I hope I can get a handle on it.  Hope it doesn't go migraine on me.  I get them once in a great while, sort of feels like it.  Blah.  Still didn't get my list of ingredients together for cookies. Will do over the weekend!

Where the weather reports wrong or what!

There was school yesterday!  That is great because they have some neat craft projects planned this week for the kids.  I am late posting, cleaning off snow and there is a delayed start to school so my son wanted to play in the snow for awhile.  I am now trying to warm up.  BRRR.  We only got about 4 inches, not much for here.  We might get a bit more tonight but that is iffy.

I want to finish my wrapping, I have a package to mail out and get my recipes together for cookies. I think I won't be doing anything new on Zazzle until after the holidays.  I really have a full schedule coming up.

No school yesterday, bet no school today!

We did laundry yesterday, wrapped 90% of our gifts for Christmas.  I made chili and corn bread.  I am super duper exhausted.  Our poor kitty did not feel well last night.  She has a fickle stomach and something she ate did not agree with her.  I was tending to her most of the night.  We are supposed to get snow, or maybe not or maybe ice or maybe not.  Since my son has afternoon kindergarten I won't be sure if he has school until close to bus time.  If the school lets out early he doesn't have class. If it is a delayed start he has a very short day at school.  I am supposed to go into school today to help with some packing of donations.  That is also up in the air.  I will be in school Friday as well.

Wow

We are in for some nasty weather.  I was so rushed yesterday I almost forgot to post.  It is tough this time of year to really sit and work on artwork.  I am sure my son will not be going to school today.  Tomorrow, if there is school, I will be going in to help out.  I will also be in school this Friday as well.  Lots of holiday prep going on.  Next week is cookie baking time.  Christmas is coming fast!

Oh wow, it's Friday!

I can't believe how fast the week went. I have a bunch of errands to run today, last dentist appointment for my son on Monday and have more year end items to tie up next week. I managed to get a new design posted to Zazzle yesterday between appointments.  It was a miracle to finally get something on Zazzle!

Have had a headache since yesterday and trying not to let it get to me.  Keep on moving! I am done Christmas shopping, just have to wrap.  Just about done decorating.  Some more snowflakes to cut out.  Cookies in about a week and a half will be started.  The holiday is upon us!

Hard getting back in the swing of things.

Well I did try to get some Zazzle done yesterday.  Didn't quite work out that way.  Today I have an appointment early for my son's check up so that leaves the afternoon for a short bit before I have another appointment to rush to which always runs long and late.  Zazzle I miss you. I promise I will be back!!

Holiday Extended!

Well I had all intention of working on Zazzle yesterday but after I got back from my errands I got a text that school was letting out early because of the weather.  Since my son goes to afternoon kindergarten he had the whole day off so we were decorating for Christmas all day. Just about done!

Today I will do at least one thing on Zazzle today.  I bet it has changed since my last upload so I will be learning new things.

Quick post...

Had planned on doing my errands this afternoon but we have some nasty weather coming in for that time so I will rush and get my errands done this morning.  Hopefully I can do some artwork today!  It is on the docket and am looking forward to it. Off to eat and run!!

Remember when I said I needed to rest

Well that didn't happen.  It has been a mad house all weekend,  in a good way.

Today we are having a surprise party for my niece.  Cake! I have eaten way too much over the holiday. I'll lose the weight just in time for Christmas and start all over again!

No showcase today,  be back to normal tomorrow. I sold a ton over the weekend! Very excited and hope those who purchased items enjoy them!

Need the holiday rest!

I forgot to hit the publish button yesterday so my post was late in the afternoon!  I am tired.  Can't wait to just sit and eat turkey and pie for a few days.

I ended up re caulking another section of the shower unit.  My son is a good tester.  He sprayed water everywhere in the shower and a good thing too. Found that some of the caulk I missed smoothing down and it didn't make a good seal.  Well now that is fixed.  A cabinet is coming for the wall and I found a matching floor cabinet but it is not in stock anywhere in stores or online.  I have to do some super searches of find something similar.

Got the bread cut and toasted for stuffing.  Doing the yams today so we can just heat and eat.  They are so simple, peel and cut 3lbs of yams/sweet potatoes, add 2 sticks of butter, 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup sugar. cover and cook on medium heat until potatoes are tender!  So easy and yummy and much better than the canned yams.

I am rambling cause I am exhausted.  Not even thinking about the snow, tons that are forcasted for here today.

Snow Coming???

Maybe 6"  of snow by the end of Wednesday!  It was almost 70 degrees yesterday.  Now that is wild weather!  Speaking about wild things, I went to the supermarket yesterday to pick up the last remaining ingredients needed for Turkey day dinner.  Thought if I get today I would avoid the crowds. Well I was wrong.  I spent more time in line than shopping the store!  Everybody is getting the Turkey day stuff early.  I am sure the upcoming snow storm has something to do with it!

I will be back to Zazzle next week.  I am really excited to get the ideas out of my head and on to digital paper.

Thanksgiving around the corner!

Bathroom is 95% done!  Just some decorator touches and a cabinet, shelving and some mats and we can call it complete!!!!!!!!  Now my son doesn't have to run down a flight of stairs, through the long hall and through the kitchen to go to the bathroom at night, and neither do I!  It is wonderful and as soon as I finish the final touches I will post before and after pictures.

With the holiday preparations this week and removal of the A/C units (on hold while construction was going on) I don't think I will back to more artwork until next week. I will help with the thanksgiving meal prep by getting stuffing ready early, really good yam recipe together and whatever else is needed.

Now we are making progress.

Shower walls are up and the faucet and shower head installed.  Door and walls are today.  Then just clean and touch up and install the "hardware" and bathroom complete!  Amazing.  I am visiting my son's school today for education week so some of my work time will be limited, plus I am making pizza tonight!

Have a great weekend.  We are getting a weather warm up so certainly will enjoy it!

WOW

The bathroom floor looks nice, toilet is just about installed and next is the sink.  You don't realize the hard work it takes and the length of time a project like this entails until you actually do it.  Certainly was a pipe dream to have it done last week! Wait till you see the before and after.  What a difference!!

Grouting!

Now the floor is looking nice.  Will post pics when done, I am liking it.  It was an epoxy grout so something different than the usual stuff.  I will have quite a list of talents by the end of this project.

I had a nice day of sales yesterday.  Many science theme items.  I like that!  I am a geek you know!  Some lovely holiday cards as well.  Hopefully I can get some New Year designs on before the new year!

Things can change in an instant!

Well yesterday's dental visit had an extraction done.  I knew my son needed one, it was just a bad tooth and had to go.  I didn't realize it was this visit until it was done.  He was a trooper.  He did excellent and without sedation.  What 6 year old would go through that so well!  He ended up staying home from school yesterday while he was on the mend. It was a big procedure for him.  I was tending to him so grout was put off until today.  That is good, needed another day rest to be ready.  Big job!

Been making some sales through the weekend. I like seeing that. I want to get some more product on.  Tried yesterday but really couldn't focus.  I will get some more on soon!

I almost forgot!!

My son has a dentist appointment at 8 and I have to leave in 10 minutes!  Got to run, had to put off grouting till today so that is what happens when I am back!  Will post better tomorrow.  Need to warm up the car!!

Happy Birthday to my son!  6 YEARS OLD today!  Amazing.  He is a wonderful, kind young man and has made me so proud.  He is also sporting two more loose teeth so get ready tooth fairy!  Today is finish his cake.  Get presents together and party supplies for tomorrow.  I also have an appointment this afternoon so I will be in a hurry to get back to pick my son up at the bus stop.  Busy Busy Busy!!

Holding on..

I seem to be two to three days behind my father in this cold.  Back pain shot up yesterday.  He had that two days prior during this cold.  I am pushing through.  Cleaning like mad to get that fine dust picked up and out of the house.  I feel bad not working on any artwork but really I couldn't if I wanted to with this cold.  My eyes are pretty much shot.  Again I am happy that I learned to type without looking at the keys. Makes it easier when you don't feel well.

Today I start baking cupcakes and the cake.  They are refrigerated because of the type of icing I make.  Not sugary icing, made with pudding and cool whip so refrigeration is a must.  That is fine with me.  I like my cake cold!  I also have to get the taco meat prepared.  I want to make sure I have enough for both turkey and beef. My boy loves tacos!

I have no idea what is going on...

This is ridiculous. I think I have been sick for a week every month for the past few months.  Apparently I messed up my post yesterday.  Never clicked published until late in the day.  Sorry.  I have such an earache. Today I have to be better, even if I am not.  I have a whole house to clean.  Dust from construction got everywhere even though you seal the work area up it sneaks out and covers everything. I have a party to prepare for Friday and Saturday.  Lucky boy gets a little party on his birthday Friday then the family party on Saturday.  Oh!!!  My son lost his first tooth!!!  It was great.   He was brushing his teeth like a good boy and yelled MOM!!!!  The tooth fairy visited and was he every excited.  He dreamed he talked to her.  So adorable!

Well today is cleaning while feeling awful, tomorrow is baking cake, cupcakes and the food for Saturday so it is easy to prepare.  I have appointment on Friday so that makes any prep hard then so it falls for Thursday. Also I have bathroom construction to sneak in too.  The lights are up, medicine cabinet in, now it is time to lay tile.

No showcase today. The light from the computer is blinding my eyes.  And I am supposed to get the house cleaned today...ha.  I am typing with my eyes closed, checking for spelling mistakes every so often.  One skill I have is typing without looking at the keys, may come in handy one day!

Today my son is off from school so he has plans for me today.  I am still sick but I think his plans are to watch a movie together so I certainly can handle that.  Sales are starting to increase with the holidays approaching!  I am almost done with my Christmas shopping.  I like to be done before December so I can just enjoy the month and all the festivities that arise!

No, No, No

I AM SICK...AGAIN!!! NO!!!!!  Started Saturday and really hit yesterday and today.  I have to be somewhat well today.  Last coat on walls to paint so the next phase can start in the bathroom.  A bit behind because I am not only one sick. 

I am too sneezy, coughing, achy and have watery eyes to post a picture of new artwork.  I can barely type but need to keep it together enough to get that last coat of paint on the walls then off to bed....no fair!!!!!
I am taking vitamins, exercising and eating right to stay healthy...maybe I should eat more fries.

Ahhh Friday!

Now the bathroom is on the verge of primer ready.  Maybe by the end of today! This is such a fun project. I can't wait to see the final result!

Been selling some postcards, stickers and ties.  When I get a sale I want to jump right in with more artwork. That has been the tough part of the construction is putting my artwork aside while we finish.  I will be re energized for sure when I start back up!

Tired...

We have the first coat of joint compound on the walls.  Looking like a room!  If we are really good we might be able to make the second coat the finish coat but that is depending on how well I do! Definitely will be priming by Friday and painting this weekend.  Then we lay tile, grout, install fixtures and voila! A new bathroom!!!  Then I can get back to creating more artwork and repairing images.

Whoa it's Wednesday!

The new room is coming along nicely and still at it today.  I have a party to prepare for my son.  His 6th birthday is coming up fast! I can't believe that either.  Six years already!!!

Nothing new on the Zazzle front. Did sell some more items last night.  The honey bee print I have sells nicely. Just sold a phone cover! I do have a mountain of ideas but I must wait until construction is finished.  Most likely next week we will be done.

Making progress!

The room is completely drywalled.  Now comes mudding and taping.  Soon we will have another bathroom!!

I have been making some sales.  Not bad but seems to have slowed a bit.  Hopefully the holiday will see some increase.

NOVEMBER!!!

Yes it is November.  Was 26 degrees with the windchill. I have been helping drywall the new room.  Helped install a skylight on the roof and various Halloween activities.  Will be helping put the last few sheets of drywall up today and then it is ready to mud and tape!  Can't wait.  Got to be done before Thanksgiving.

With all the construction I have not been working on Zazzle.  Once finished I will be making more artwork. I have ideas and some half finished project and of course the never ending motorcycles also!

Early appointment to the dentist! Did not get anything on Zazzle yesterday.  Ended up putting up drywall.  We want to finish the room before Thanksgiving so will not be posting to Zazzle as much until done.  I am still working on one motorcycle print.  I have to figure out a way to make it go faster.  Takes too long to post.

Wild Wednesday

Well started a motorcycle print to upload.  Didn't finish it yesterday but will today.  Did finish a snowflake design through so at least one thing posted!  I am still sick.  From what I gather from the grapevine is it can be a 2 week virus.  Thought it was the croup since my son's bout with it but apparently not.  It has cycled into the whole family.  The sinus pressure makes it hard to work on the computer, headache and watery eyes. Of course it is a beautiful day and I will get some time out in it.

Tomorrow there may be a late post.  I have an early dentist appointment for my son so it will depend on how hurried we are.  And of course Friday is Halloween!  Cupcakes with pumpkin icing....yum!

I didn't think it could get worse...

but am wrong.  I feel terrible.  Got partially through some posting of products on Zazzle yesterday and that was it.  Eyes watering, coughing, headache, fever and sore throat.  Arrggh.  We will see what I can accomplish today.

I promised a showcase and I will deliver.
