On to Saturday and Sunday...
I had a busy weekend of sales too. Yippie!!
How about something to cool you down in this heat! Some skiing sounds nice but I know with my "gracefulness" I will not try skiing. I know my limits!!

Picture heavy post!
We had a busy weekend and I have some pictures! We start with Friday...
I was working on the painting while my dad worked on the replacement shingles. I loved being way up high on the ladder!
You can see the difference from the previous stained siding to the bright shiny painted siding.
This is my friend Pearl the Praying Mantis. She followed me wherever I was on the roof. It this shot she was inches from my head as I painted! She is a beauty!
On to Saturday and Sunday...
Painted the existing siding, then will paint the replacement shingles when finished.
These are the original siding from the 1920's
You can see the progress we are making. I think we will finish the house this week!!!
This is the brown done with two coats, I will be painting the final coat of white on the windows today and I think we will have the vent uncovered and finished today as as well. I will take pictures.

Holiday weekend about to start!
A three day weekend this week! I am making a chocolate pie for Monday. I usually have problems with chocolate so just a sliver of a slice for me but pile on the potato salad!
It was hot yesterday. I did too much, only made it to noon but was barely moving afterwards. At least today the humidity will be gone. We have to finish the first coat of finish white and do the second. That is our goal today. I am sure we can do it!
This is also the third day of school for my son. He loved music class yesterday and next week they play some instruments. Today is library day so I am sure a great book will be coming home with him. I had lots of homework yesterday! I think it was 10 forms to fill out.
Still selling at least one thing a day! Yea!! Today is the third motorcycle postcard sold...

Hot today
It's going to be in the 90's today so we are going to start painting early. Yes painting! We got all the wood scraped and sanded yesterday and almost all of it primed.
You can see the new vent in the upper peak. It is a half round vent instead of an open window! Also everything in this angle shot is white with primer, I still have the other side of the dormer to prime. I just could not do any more yesterday. The sun is on that side until evening.
My son had a great time on his first day of First Grade. He loves his teacher and class. Today they have music class. I am so excited about that. He loves to play his guitar, harmonica and kazoo. He will enjoy that. And now since the bus picks up my son at our side street, we are much safer and have 2 minutes less of a dangerous walk to get to the stop and back. I am so happy about that.
I have been making more sales. Today is the second in the motorcycle prints I sold...
Thought I sold four but sold three so one more to show tomorrow!

First Day of School
It is the first day of School!!! My son is nervous but excited, and so am I! This is the first time for all day school. I know he will have a great time. 1st grade is a fun time. There will be lots of pictures this morning! Plus we have our new bus stop! That is excellent. I am so pleased. It was dangerous walking to the other stop, 2 minute walk and the bus would pass our house all the time. Now at least I don't have to worry about either my son or myself getting hurt but the heavy traffic.
I managed to do a half day on the roof. I think another half day today because of the heat and that stomach bug really knocked me down. We got a lot done for a half day. There is a triple window on the dormer and we scraped, sanded and primed it yesterday. It looks so good. I do have a before picture...
Wait for the next picture. The upper rectangle window you see at the top is the attic window. Well that has been changed and is now a new shape and more secure. I will take some picture today after we do more work. Exciting!
Today is a motorcycle sale...

Tuesday!
Tomorrow is the first day of School!!! I managed to stop the bus and the driver has no problem stopping at the side street. I am so so happy about that. So is my son.
Might try some scaffold work today. Feeling much better. Can't wait. I am getting stir crazy not doing something. I did get a nice visitor yesterday.
Caterpillar stage it is called a Hornworm but then changes to a Hawk Moth! Very cool spike on his rear!
Today is a showcase that I just adore...
I love the fox buttons! They look so cute. First time selling this print on a button. They look great!

Monday!
No work on house today, still not feeling too great. Apparently there is a bad stomach bug going around and I guess I got it. I hope to keep my son healthy because school starts Wednesday. But today I have to flag down the bus during it's dry run and get it to stop on our street. I had sent a request in June, never hear anything back and when I checked they don't know what happened to it, had confirmation it was received verbally too. Well I need to flag down the bus driver and request that the bus stop on our street since it stops at every other street. It is too dangerous for us to walk the 2 minutes down a busy road with no sidewalks and then watch the bus drive right by the house to pick my son up. We will see if I can get it done. Don't want anything to happen to my son or myself, safety issue!
I am late posting but I am under a sick day. I have been selling more items. This is a popular image that I know you have seen before...
Yes, little lamb again! She is popular for sure. I was thinking the lamb was the top but during the last two weeks those honeybees took over the top position. I am curious to see what holiday images will be battling for the top spot!

Friday...sick...
Well it's not just me that is not feeling well so we decided to wait till next week to start the final dormer on the house. We just might be working a little too hard and deserve the break.
School starts next week!!! I can't believe it. All this week I have been waking my son up just like he would for school. He had afternoon kindergarten last year and did not have to wake up early but now 1st grade is all day he has to get up by 7:30am. He is doing well with it. Today I will get all his supplies labeled and put in his backpack for Wednesday.
I have been making sales! Was hoping to get more artwork on, maybe today. Today is the honey bee print again but on a different product...

It is nice to see something so popular sell so much. I am hoping my bicycle watercolor will sell soon. Usually it takes a month or two of being posted in order to make the first sale. Please enjoy your last weekend of August and I will be back Monday!
