Running out the door

Literally I am heading for the door. We are going to get the fabric for the spider body. I have it constructed. All it needs is the covering. That is my focus for the day. Once the costume is done my mind will be back into working on designs. I need to have the costume done by Saturday for a parade, another the Monday after and possibly one on the 30th and what ever events I can find too.

I do have an aquatic design today.

"Spinning" a costume

So far I got the body of the spider drawn up to scale, cardboard ready for cutting, the hoodie is pinned marked and ready for spider parts and eyes. I will see what I can get done today. I know I can get the head done. I am still trying to plan on how to "stuff" and cover the spider body. I will figure it out!

Spiders!

Well today is the start of my son's costume construction. I have long spider legs, short spider legs, cardboard, felt, duct tape, hoodie shirt and various paints.....lets see what we can come up with! Thinking this is going to be an interesting build....I will post pics when finished.

Taco Tuesday?

Yes taco Tuesday today because that is my son's favorite! He did so well yesterday with his letters v - w - x and will finish his workbook the next session. He is picking up reading so fast and excited to learn!

Monday!

What a weekend, nice weather for October. Got the car washed, vacuumed and detailed (by me). Built some dinosaurs and started working on my son's Halloween costume. Of course he wants to be the scariest spider I can make him and they don't make scary spider toddler costumes so making from scratch. I got the legs and the black hooded sweatshirt. Need to construct the body and face. Need to have it soon, Halloween parade coming up!

Friday....PIZZA NIGHT!

Homemade pizza night tonight. I make a bunch, four large gluten free pies. We will be set for the weekend. I use Bob's Red Mill gluten free pizza crust. My method I get four large pies out of one bag (says only one on package!) I make thin crust so after all the toppings etc, it ends up to be a low calorie yummy pizza! Also number and math day for my son! He is breezing through his second workbook. His last workbook ended at number 12, this one goes up to 20. He loves it and we go at a pace that he enjoys.
